Police identify man hit by car
TENECAPE: Police have identified the man killed in a pedestrian-vehicle collision along Highway 215 in Tenecape. Sgt. Brigdit Leger, spokeswoman for Nova Scotia RCMP, identified the man as Paul Edwards, who was killed Feb. 27. An autopsy was performed on the 41-year-old man’s body Feb. 28. “We don’t expect to lay charges in the death,” Sgt. Leger said. In a press release detailing the collision, RCMP said the man’s body was discovered by a Windsor District RCMP officer who was conducting a regular patrol at 7:40 p.m. The officer came upon a vehicle that was stopped on the highway at the crest of a hill. “It appears the man was already lying on the road when he was hit,” Sgt. Leger added.
